Christian Disgrace
And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

Less than ten percent of self declared Christian has read the entire Bible. Very few even spend a mere fifteen minutes a day within Gods word. The word of God is our primary means of knowing whom it is we claim to worship, yet a higher percentage of those attempting to discredit our belief have read the Bible. The average Christian having not read the Bible can be understood. Books such as Leviticus tend to be dry, confusing, and seemingly irrelevant; however, even knowing the rituals replaced with the crucifixion of the Messiah helps modern man know whom we honor and revere. The scariest part of the whole thing is the false doctrines people believe because they do not know or verify the things they are being taught.

And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

According to the 2011 Gallup poll, if you live in the United States you probably believe in God (90%). Most Christians can only name three, maybe four, of the Ten Commandments. The lack of biblical knowledge of today's Christians is astounding; for, acknowledging the existence of God should imply the desire to learn and build a relationship with God. There is a lot of information in the Bible. An average reader will need to spend ninety hours within it to read it once from cover to cover. Fifteen minutes a day spent reading the Bible, will get a person through it in a year. The Bible does interpret itself, so it would take many readings to get a decent foundation of its contents.

In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

God created all things and gave us a redeemer for our transgressions. Not much is actually asked of us, but how does a person live a Christian life if they do not know God. With all God has given us, is he not worth fifteen minutes or even more a day. I like to keep things short and to the point, below are some articles from other websites that may of be interest.ArticleWebsiteDescription
